Straw Hat’s mission is simple; provide people with the tastiest, healthiest, safest organically grown food possible. Straw Hat was started because as parents the founders could not find healthy snack food they could trust for their children. In Canada we grow less than 15% of the fruit we consume and less than 30% of Canadian children get the recommended daily amounts of fruits and vegetables. Diseases like obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer are on the rise and the food we eat plays an important part in regaining our health.
Supersnacks are a result of years of research and development, both in the fields and in the laboratory. Straw Hat organics has spent years selecting the varieties of fruit that are best for growing without chemicals and then taking those and making sure we can process them with as little interference as possible which has enabled us to retain the highest amount of nutrient content we could .We then test the content of the fruit to ensure it’s safety and efficacy.

We follow that up with research that proves out not only the health benefits of our food but it’s safety. We don’t “just” use the certification process to ensure our products safety and efficacy. After getting our products certified through the usual channels we hire an independent laboratory to conduct studies to ensure that what we say is actually what’s in the product.

We work closely with local farmers to re-establish a supply chain for our products which eventually will enable Canadians to start feeding themselves instead of relying
on imported product.
